VCenter Live turns your Shopify catalogue into complete outfits your customers can build, try on and buy without leaving your store. This page covers getting started, the questions merchants ask most, and how to reach a person.
Need help now? Email [email protected]. Include your store domain (your-store.myshopify.com) and we will answer within one business day.
Install from the Shopify App Store and open the app from your Shopify admin. It provisions your account and starts importing your catalogue, then asks you to choose a password of at least 14 characters. Your username is the email address on the store.
Do this when prompted, not later. The prompt is only offered in the window right after installing — that limit is what ties the account to whoever set the store up. If it disappears before you use it, email [email protected] and we will send a set-password link to the store's address.
You then sign in with that email and password. The same credentials work both inside the Shopify admin and directly at backoffice.vcenterlive.com.
The outfit builder reaches your customers through a theme app embed, and Shopify requires you to switch it on. Nothing appears on your storefront until you do:
The launcher button now appears on your storefront. If it does not, see The button is not showing below.
Your products are read from Shopify and prepared for outfit building. A few hundred products take several minutes; a large catalogue can take longer. You can watch the progress in the app's Products view.
Yes, and it is separate from the floating button. In the app's Store Front view there is a control that adds a VC Live item to your theme's navigation menu, and another that removes it. Nothing is added to your menu unless you ask for it.
Email [email protected] from the store's own address and we will send you a link to set one. The prompt closes deliberately: it is what stops anyone who can open the app later from claiming the account.
Almost always the app embed in step 2 above. Check that it is switched on for the theme that is currently published — switching it on for a draft theme changes nothing for your customers. If the embed is on and the button still does not appear, email us with your store domain.
No. Customers build an outfit and the cart is handed to your own Shopify checkout. Payment, taxes, shipping and order management stay exactly where they are today. We never process a payment.
Any product Shopify reports as available. Products that go out of stock are kept in the catalogue and marked unavailable; products you delete or unpublish are retired automatically.
Product creations, updates and deletions arrive by webhook and are usually applied within seconds. A periodic sync catches anything a webhook missed. If a change is still missing after an hour, email us.
Name, email address, the Shopify customer identifier, and order details — nothing else. We do not receive or store phone numbers, postal addresses, or any payment data. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy, and the terms under which we process your customers' data are in the Data Processing Agreement.
Use Shopify's own tools in Customers. Shopify notifies us and we act on it: a deletion request erases the personal data we hold for that customer, and orders are anonymised rather than deleted so your sales records stay intact.
Everything belonging to your store is erased within 48 hours of uninstalling. Nothing is retained, and nothing is needed from you.
